Blanchard Wells opens new headquarters
Mark Regan, England rugby hooker opened Blanchard Wells' new purpose built office on December 11th 2008.
The modern, 4,500 square foot purpose built offices, located in rural Hampshire enables the group companies to be housed in one location. (click on the thumbnails below to see full size images)

Square to Square
A team of Isle of White firefighters will cycle from Great Britain to Rome, Italy, in September 2008 in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust. Their aim is to raise £70,000. Blanchard Wells, along with 11 other companies from the South, have sponsored a bike each to assist the great cause. Visit the website at www.SQ2SQ.com.

Ken Hall Memorial
Ken Hall Memorial Moto X at Langrish. The track at Langrish has been completely overhauled since last year's race. This has been completed by two machines from the Blanchard Wells Hitachi fleet, a ZX210 and a ZX180. All works were monitored and controlled by Mark Blanchard and the ACU.

New Headquarters!
The scaffold is down on the prestigious new headquarters at Soberton! With the peg tiled roof and oak cladding in place the scaffold has been removed. This will allow the groundworkers to commence the external works - lets hope they do a good job!

P&O Cruise Terminal Contract
Blanchard Wells has secured the remainder of the prestigious new P&O Cruise terminal contract for Dean & Dyball. Work commenced on the groundbeam package in June and the performance of the site team lead by site Manager Matthew Thomas, ensured that Blanchard Wells were in a strong position for the main package.

Waitrose contract begins
ITS FINALLY STARTED! After a year, the eagerly awaited new Waitrose development on the Stockbridge Road at Weeke near Winchester has started. The commercial team, lead by Director Mark Wells, have worked closely with Main Contractor Norwest Holst to secure the cir £3m civils package. It includes the concrete walls and frame that will be completed by our own Southern Concrete Ltd. Concrete supplier Cemex has contributed to the methodology of the works with the implementation of the 60N self compacting concrete which will be used on all exposed concrete. The works on site commenced on 18th August with the first 10 working days being filled by the removal of 15,000m3 of chalk from site at a rate of 150 loads per day. This will be loaded by the newly acquired Hitachi ZX280 driven by John Craig.

Extension to Naomi House children's hospice
The extension to the Naomi House children's hospice has commenced. The team will see a new face in Foreman Paul Crisp who has joined us from Laing O'Rourke. Paul has fitted in exceptionally well and is working closely with Contracts Director Mark Blanchard and client Dean & Dyball.

McCarthy & Stone awards contract
New Client McCarthy and Stone has awarded the Tower Road Liphook contract to the Blanchard Wells team which will see Contracts Manager Chris Nicolls manage new foreman Paul Symmonds.
